Workshop Fit-Out with Bott Cubio Workbenches
Project Overview
Core Projects was appointed to design, supply, and install a series of Bott Cubio workbenches for a specialist engineering workshop operating within the oil and gas sector. The client required a robust, organised workstation environment that would support daily engineering operations while improving workflow and tool organisation within the workshop. By combining our consultative survey process, detailed AutoCAD design, and professional installation, Core Projects delivered a fully integrated workstation solution tailored to the customer’s operational needs.

The Challenge
The client’s engineering workshop is used intensively for the servicing and maintenance of specialist equipment used within the oil and gas industry. As a result, the workstations needed to be extremely durable and capable of supporting heavy engineering tasks while also helping engineers maintain an organised and efficient working environment.
The existing workshop layout lacked clearly defined workstations and structured tool storage, which made it difficult to maintain a consistent level of organisation across the workspace. Engineers required reliable work surfaces along with secure and accessible storage for tools, parts, and equipment used during daily operations.
In addition, the client wanted to ensure that any new workstation solution would integrate seamlessly within the existing workshop footprint. The layout needed to maximise the available space while ensuring engineers had sufficient working areas and easy access to the tools and equipment they use most frequently.
The challenge was therefore to design a workstation solution that would improve organisation, support demanding engineering activities, and enhance the overall efficiency of the workshop environment.
The Solution
Following an initial consultation, Core Projects carried out a detailed on-site survey to understand the operational requirements of the workshop and how engineers interacted with the space.
This survey allowed our team to assess workflow patterns, workspace constraints, tool storage requirements, and workstation positioning. Based on this information, we developed a tailored solution centred around Bott Cubio workbenches, known for their durability, modular design, and suitability for industrial environments.
Our design team then produced detailed AutoCAD layout drawings to illustrate how the workbenches would be positioned within the workshop. This allowed the client to clearly visualise the proposed layout and ensure the design aligned with their operational requirements before installation commenced.
The final design incorporated heavy-duty workstations with integrated storage to create structured and efficient working areas for the engineering team.
Delivery & Installation
Once the design had been approved, Core Projects coordinated the supply and delivery of the Bott Cubio workbenches before completing the full on-site installation.
Our installation team assembled and positioned each workstation in accordance with the approved AutoCAD design, ensuring all units were correctly installed, levelled, and ready for immediate use. The installation was carried out efficiently and with minimal disruption to the client’s operations, allowing the workshop to continue functioning throughout the process.

The Result
The completed installation has transformed the client’s workshop into a more organised, efficient, and professional working environment.
The new Bott Cubio workbenches provide durable working surfaces alongside integrated storage for tools and equipment, allowing engineers to maintain a more structured and productive workspace. By introducing clearly defined work areas and improved tool organisation, the new workstation layout supports the engineering team in carrying out their tasks more efficiently while also creating a workspace that reflects the high standards expected within the oil and gas sector.
